About Us

We want God to be our source of life - spiritually, emotionally, and also physically.  JLA Design was born out of the desire to research and apply the natural physical resources that God has given us, like the sun, wind, and rain, to design buildings that interface with His creation, rather than deface it.  We aspire to be more dependent on God and His resources.

We believe in living simply, growing our own food, and tiny houses.  We believe in working less so that we have more time to spend with the people we love.  We believe a building should serve the people who live and work there; the people should not serve the building.  We believe that if your building costs are so high that you have to take on a third job to pay the mortgage, then the building isn't serving you well. 

We apply sound engineering and architectural principles to design custom homes, agricultural and commercial buildings, and sites.

Josh and Lyndsay Armstrong started JLA design in 2016 and it has grown to be one of the premier design firms serving the front range of Colorado.  Josh and Lyndsay are supported by their incredible design staff including Mike, Marian and Jayson.  The team has over 30 years of combined experience in the design and construction of residential, commercial and agricultural buildings.  Josh holds a professional engineering license in Colorado, a masters degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a bachelors degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.  Lyndsay holds a bachelors degree in Architecture from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
